MH-12 Banksman Level 1 (Onshore)

| Aims |
| To provide participants who have completed a Rigging and Slinging course in theoretical and practical knowledge of Banksman duties with strong emphasis on the Brunei Shell P.L.I.C. Also to refresh and update current qualified personnel on any changes in safety and operational procedures. |
| Outcomes |
- Be aware and use of correct PPE
- Be confident in the use of and demonstrate hand signals
- Be confident in use hand held radio and terminology used
- Be able to develop and understand lift plan for routine lift
- Be confident to inspect and report on equipment to be used for the lift
- Be able to check lifting gear SWL/WLL is suitable for load weight
- Be confident to effectively control and instructs Riggers in their duties
- Be able to prepare landing place
- Have an understanding of crane set-up and operation
- Be confident to consult with and instruct Crane Operator on the lift
- Be able to check and identify for hazards and remove where possible
- Be able to barricade and ensure non-essential personnel are not permitted to enter work area
- Be confident to safely and efficiently control lift
- Be able to perform post operational inspection on equipment

| The duration of the course is 3-days. The course is delivered at Megamas Training Company Sdn. Bhd., in Mumong/Kuala Balai, Kuala Belait or any other suitable location. |
