Aims

To provide the knowledge and skills necessary for candidates to undertake suitable and sufficient risk assessments of hazardous substances in use and the implementation of effective control measures in accordance with COSHH Regulations.

Outcomes

On completion of the course, participants will be able to:
Give an overview of COSHH Regulations
Understand hazard categories
Describe the requirements pertaining to Manufacturers' Hazard Data Sheets
Be aware of the Health effects of substances
Be proficient in selecting effective control measures
Know requirements for appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Carry out the practical application of COSHH Assessments relevant to the working environment
Understand Health Surveillance requirements
Describe Employees' Duties for the safe handling, use, storage & transportation of hazardous substances

The duration of the course is 1 day The course is delivered at Megamas Training Company Integrated safety training Centre in Mumong/Kuala Balai, Kuala Belait.
