JIS HSE Careers Day at Megamas Training Company Sdn Bhd

A group of Students from Jerudong International School (JIS) visited Megamas Training Company Sdn Bhd in Kuala Belait to gain knowledge about Health, Safety and the Environment (HSE).

The group of students were presented with an introduction to Megamas by the Training Manager followed by a presentation and discussion about HSE as a career. The talk covered the many aspects of HSE management and discussed the real life challenges that they would face in the job. After the presentation the students were given a tour of the world-class facilities, and visited the lifeboat station, skid pan area for defensive driving, pool, confined space simulator, smoke house and fireground. The Megamas firefighters displayed their skill in extinguishing a simulated well-head fire. The Megamas pool team demonstrated the correct way to exit from a submerged helicopter.

After the visit, Ann Lord the JIS careers advisor sincerely thanked Megamas for the useful knowledge that was gained by the Students.
