Megamas HSE Training - MH-9 Loading and Lashing

Aims

To provide participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to safely and efficiently load a vehicle in accordance with current road use regulations. Participants will be able to correctly load & restrain a vehicle load. This course is designed for vehicle loading crane operators, truck drivers, transport workers and anyone else who loads a vehicle as part of their vocation.

Outcomes

1.    Be aware and use of correct PPE
2.    Current legislation and BSP standards, hazard identification & control and risk assessment
3.    Prepare and make safe the loading area
4.    Prepare cargo for loading
5.    Choose suitable vehicle for specific loads
6.    Correct and safe positioning of loads including various steel, concrete, loose material and pallets
7.    Select suitable load restraint and blocking equipment for different types of loads
8.    Gain an understanding of Centre of Gravity, Tie down forces and angle effects.
9.    Undertake careful driving and conduct restraint/lashing checks

The duration of the course is 1-day The course is delivered at Megamas Training Company Sdn. Bhd., in Mumong/Kuala Balai, Kuala Belait or any other suitable location.
