Megamas Training Company - MH-6 Lorry Mounted HIAB

Aims

To provide participants who have completed an approved Rigging and Slinging course with the necessary skills and knowledge to operate a Lorry Mounted Crane safely and efficiently in accordance with the Brunei Shell P.L.I.C. The course also refreshes participants in slinging/rigging techniques and updates any changes in safety and operational procedures.

Outcomes

1.    Be aware and use of correct PPE
2.    Be confident in the use of and demonstrate hand signals
3.    Understand requirements and personnel involved with lifting operations
4.    Be able to develop and understand lift plans for routine lift
5.    Refresher on inspection and reporting on equipment to be used for the lift
6.    Refresher on slinging loads
7.    Understand crane types, crane set-up and operation
8.    Knwoledge of crane stability
9.    Practical and theoretical knowledge of outrigger/packing and ground pressure
10.    Be able to understand and use load charts
11.    Be able to check and identify for hazards and remove where possible
12.    Be able to barricade and ensure non-essential personnel are not permitted to enter work area
13.    Be confident to safely and efficiently control lift
14.    Be able to perform post operational inspection on crane and equipment

The duration of the course is 2-days The course is delivered at Megamas Training Company Sdn. Bhd., in Mumong/Kuala Balai, Kuala Belait or any other suitable location.
