Aims

The skills and knowledge gained by the participants form attending the training course will enable them to carry out their work/job in a safe and responsible manner in accordance with Company’s guidelines and industry best practices.

Outcomes

List, explain the key HSE requirements specific to manual handling operations.
Know the COMPANY HSE Policy.
Know how to carry out hazard identifications and assessment of controls needed to execute the work at hand.
Know about the need for Permit To Work required.
Basic knowledge of PAKAT or ‘STOP’ card.
Basic knowledge of Chemical Handling.
Explain the requirements for employee involvement in the Occupational Health and Safety
Describe how injury to the muscles, spine and tendons can occur form lifting/handling
State the four criteria to be applied to identify, tasks with a given environment, which require an investigation of manual handling risk factors
Explain when the Risk Identification checklist in the Advisory Standard should be used
Use the checklist developed from the Advisory Standard of Manual Tasks to identify and assess risk factors for a selected task
With reference to the control strategies listed in the Advisory Standard participate in the selection of practicable short and/or long-term controls.

The duration of the course is 1-day The course is delivered at Megamas Training Company Sdn. Bhd., in Mumong/Kuala Balai, Kuala Belait or any other suitable location.
