PTW-2 Managing Hazards


	Aims	The course provides underpinning knowledge of the Hazards and Effects Management Process - HEMP, and practical instruction in the use of hazard management tools; e.g. a Safety Checklist Database and Hazard Identification Plans.
	Outcomes	state the 4 stages of HEMP, state how hazards are identified and assessed, locate hazard information in work planning documents, prepare an HIP for a typical work activity, generate a safety checklist for single and multiple activities using the database, carry out a hazard review of a safety checklist produced by the database, manage the hazards and effects for a typical work activity through the application of HEMP, site inspections, the development of an HIP and, the use of a HCL database. The course provides underpinning knowledge for Units 1 and 2 of Competence Standard 15 for PTW Signatories. (Ref. Brunei Shell Petroleum)
	Location and Duration	The duration of the course is 1-day The course is delivered at Megamas Training Company Sdn. Bhd., in Mumong/Kuala Balai, Kuala Belait.
