PTW-3 Permit to Work for Signatories


	Aims	To prepare participants in becoming competent PTW Signatories by providing knowledge of the Permit to Work System and practical experience of the management of hazards and the operation of the system.
	Outcomes	state why PTW system is necessary, locate information in the PTW procedure manual, conduct a hazard assessment using a PTW Hazard Checklist, demonstrate how to complete each type of Permit, review completed PTW documents for errors, explain when to use and how to complete each PTW supporting certificate, demonstrate the method of recording and controlling mechanical and electrical isolations, demonstrate how isolations are secured and identified, demonstrate the operation of the PTW system including the Permit Issue Points, describe the actions required by the Permit Signatory before changing the status of permits, describe the PTW Audit and Change Proposal procedures, state the requirements for appointment as a PTW Signatory. The course is designed to meet the requirement of Competence Standard 15 for PTW Signatories. (Ref. Brunei Shell Petroleum)
	Location and Duration	The duration of the course is 2-days The course is delivered at Megamas Training Company Sdn. Bhd., in Mumong/Kuala Balai, Kuala Belait.
