Megamas Training Company - MH-10 Rigging and slinging Company Authorised Personnel (CAP)

Aims

To build on the skill, knowledge and awareness provided by the rigging and slinging training course and develop further attributes which are required to undertake the task of CAP (Rigging and slinging) if so designated. The skills gained on this training course will enable them to carry out their role of CAP in a safe and responsible manner in accordance with Company’s guidelines and industry best practices.

Outcomes

List, explain the key HSE requirements specific to rigging and slinging operations.
Know the COMPANY HSE Policy.
Know how to carry out hazard identifications and assessment of controls needed to execute the work at hand.
Know about the need for Permit To Work required.
Basic knowledge of PAKAT or ‘STOP’ card.
Visually inspect and correctly identify equipment suitable for use with the COMPANY from a selection containing but not limited to items:
- Within specification and having valid test certificates
- Within specification but not having valid test certificates
- Out of specification and having valid test certificates
- Out of specification and not having valid test certificates
Identify the need to and the method of:
- Maintaining an up-to-date register of lifting equipment
- Safely disposing of defective lifting equipment
- Maintaining and storing lifting equipment
Identify and explain the relevant parts of the Company’s inspection manual for lifting equipment under specified situations.

The duration of the course is 1-day The course is delivered at Megamas Training Company Sdn. Bhd., in Mumong/Kuala Balai, Kuala Belait or any other suitable location.
