| Aims |
| This course is designed to give participants the necessary skills and knowledge to be a Rigging and Slinging Competent Authorized Person. Candidates will be able to inspect and discard rigging equipment, have knowledge of rigging store registers and testing certificates and have knowledge of the BSP PLIC. |
| Outcomes |
- Understand the roles of everyone involved in the inspection process
- Be able to understand the Shell P.L.I.C.
- Identify faulty Rigging Equipment
- Identify faulty Lifting Tackle
- Fully understand and practice colour coding equipment.
- Be able to fill out Defect Reports
- Be able to fill out all documentation relevant to Lifting and Rigging, including Rigging Store Register
- Be able to prepare equipment for inspection by a Third Party and understand the inspection process.
- Make sure all faulty equipment is repaired and destroyed as per the Shell P.L.I.C.
