MH-18 Telehandler Operator
Aims
To provide participants who have completed an approved Introduction to Rigging and Slinging course with the necessary skills and knowledge to operate a telehandler safely and efficiently in accordance with the Brunei Shell P.L.I.C. The course also refreshes and updates participants with any changes in safety and operational procedures.
Content
Be aware and use of correct PPE
Be able to undertake pre-start and pre-operational checks of a telehandler
Understand the tagging, recording and reporting procedure
Be able to read and understand data/compliance plates
Have an understanding of telehandler stability, capacity and dynamics
Demonstrate and understand stability alarms and all other warning devices
Understand the safe operation of a telehandler in different work environments includingon-shore and off-shore facilities
Be able to check and identify for hazards and control where possible - `KNOW YOUR WORKPLACE’
Be able to barricade and ensure non-essential personnel are not permitted to enter work area
Be able to maneuver and shift various loads safely and efficiently
Use all boom operations safely, efficiently and confidently
Conduct post operational checks and shut down procedures.

The duration of the course is 2-days. The course is delivered at Megamas Training Company Sdn. Bhd., in Mumong/Kuala Balai, Kuala Belait or suitable client facility.
