FA-3 Basic Life Support - St. John Ambulance, Australia Approved



Aims
To give the participants basic skills and knowledge to maintain life until the arrival of the ambulance or medical professionals.
Outcomes
  • Understand legal issues and infection control
  • Describe principles of first aid
  • Place a casualty in the recovery position
  • Understand the respiratory system
  • Understand the circulatory system
  • Apply Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • Use of Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and oxygen administration
  • Understand the management of external bleeding
  • Understand infant resuscitation "if required”
Location and Duration
The duration of the course is 3-hours. The course is delivered at Megamas Training Company Sdn. Bhd., in Mumong/Kuala Balai, Kuala Belait or Megamas Kiulap.
