A1 and A2 Units, Competency Assessor Course


Aims
The purpose of this course is to prepare assessors to carry out assessments of their candidates based on A1, Assess candidates using a range of evidence and A2, Assess candidates’ performance through observation unit requirements. These standards are UK NVQ units and certificates will be issued from the awarding body, Edexcel/BTEC UK.

  • Understand the A1/A2 units and element requirements.
  • Understand how to develop and compile their A1/A2 portfolio of evidence.
  • Develop assessment instruments based on the competence standards they are going to use to assess their candidates.
  • Course content can be tailored to suit client specific requirements
Content
  • On completion of the training course, participants will be provided with a Megamas certificate indicating successful course completion. At this stage they are known as Assessor Candidates.
  • Assessor Candidates are then required to return to their workplace and commence assessments, the evidence collected is complied in their A1/A2 Portfolio (provided), once the portfolio is complete, Megamas will assess and internally verify the contents against the A1/A2 standards, if complete, Megamas will notify Edexcel/BTEC and an A1/A2 certificate will be issued to the delegate by Edexcel/BTEC. This certificate qualifies the delegate as a competence assessor
Location and Duration
The duration of the course is Three (3) days, Please note, some ‘homework’ may be required The course is delivered at Megamas Training Company Sdn. Bhd. If the training is conducted outside Brunei, a suitable clients’ premise can be used.
Pre-Requisite
It recommended that the competence assessor should be as a minimum at a supervisory level
