Defensive Driving for You

Last year (2007) there were 54 fatalities on the roads in Brunei. This is a truly shocking statistic when you consider the small geographical size and low population of Brunei.
 
Megamas applauds BSP for releasing a bulletin that requires all staff and contractors who drive an average of 100 kilometers per week, to undertake a defensive driving course.

To support this, Megamas have developed a Defensive Driving Course (DD-1) which meets all the requirements of the Shell Global Standard. Megamas are the only training provider in the region able to meet this standard.

Asbestos Awareness


Megamas, is offering a one-day course providing essential knowledge for those who may come into contact with asbestos.The course covers asbestos law, the source of asbestos and types and properties of the material. It also covers use of asbestos in buildings, why it is dangerous, respiratory system defence and the related diseases caused by exposure to it.Duties and responsibilities are examined, as are the types of survey available, management plans and what to do if there is an accidental disturbance of asbestos. Work not requiring a licence is also covered.

The course is presented by Roger Ainsworth, experienced HSE instructor and C.MIOSH, a qualified asbestos surveyor. Course handouts are supplied and all delegates receive a certificate verifying attendance on completion of the course.
