Megamas conducts 16th NEBOSH course

Megamas Training Company Sdn Bhd, based in Mumong, Kuala Belait, recently conducted its 16th NEBOSH International General Certificate course, which took place between June 21 and July 2.

The 10-day course is a globally recognised health and safety qualification that is intended for companies or individuals who fully intend to reach an international standard with regards to health, safety and environment in their workplace.

The course focuses specifically on the International Labour Standard's (ILO) codes of practice.

This course is suitable for individuals who aspire to gain health and safety knowledge regarding managing risks and hazards in any area of any business. It is also suitable for individuals who are interested on embarking on a career in health and safety.

There are 16 elements which cover a range of workplace hazards and methods of control, for example, organising for health and safety, occupational incident and accident investigation, recording and reporting, working equipment hazards and control, electrical hazards and control, construction activities, just to mention a few.

The course participants were from various companies throughout Brunei Darussalam, including many private companies such as British Garrison, Brunei Shell Petroleum Company Sdn Bhd.
