Megamas wins International Safety Award
Megamas recently received
notification of winning an International Safety Award for 2008 from the
British Safety Council.
This is a great achievement especially as Megamas has now achieved
this award for a total of five consecutive years from 2004 - 2008.
This record is for Megamas having achieved ‘18 Years LTI Free’
safety performance on March 14, 2008 - a world record in the safety
training industry - having trained 100,000 delegates since 1990, which
has included the HUET, Search and Rescue, Confined Space Entry,
Defensive Driving and Fire Fighting.
Other awards which influenced the British Safety Council included
Megamas being the first training provider to deliver the NEBOSH
International General Certificate course in Southeast Asia, the first
training provider to deliver TBOSIET worldwide, and the only training
provider in the world to conduct a Carbon Foot Printing study.
Incorporated in 1989, Megamas is now in its 20th year. It has always
tried to deliver high quality training in a safe environment, and in
doing so, has invested heavily in its facilities, arguably today, the
finest in the region, and developed a strong Bruneisation policy, so
that 80 per cent of its staff are local Brunei citizens.
In addition, 100 per cent of all the offshore survival training is
delivered by Brunei citizens. This achievement has set Megamas apart to
the extent its record is truly recognised at an international level.
