Risk Management



Aims
To introduce effective skills for the identification of hazards and decisions on suitable control measures. To ensure participants are aware of a variety of risk assessment techniques, including Job Hazard Analysis and that they can communicate the process successfully in the work environments under their control.
Outcomes

On completion of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Identify the potential hazards involved in workplace activities
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the Risk Assessment Process
  • Conduct a basic Risk Assessment of the work site
  • Undertake a Job Hazard Analysis for a planned activity
  • Identify the need for further specialist advice for specific/major/unique risk situations on their worksite
  • Demonstrate the process of controlling hazards
  • Develop control measures for general hazards using the control hierarchy
  • Demonstrate an understanding of all types of communication
  • Identify the most affective/suitable form of communication
Location and Duration
The duration of the course is 1 day. The course is delivered at Megamas Training Company Integrated safety training Centre in Mumong/Kuala Balai, Kuala Belait.
