Megamas has achieved “5 Years Total Recordable Case (TRC) Free safety performance.
This means that Megamas have had no incidents more serious than a First Aid Case in 5 years during which over 50,000 participants have been trained.
The participants vary from Brunei Shell Joint Venture companies and their contractors, TOTAL, Brunei Methanol Company (BMC) Sdn Bhd, Petroleum Brunei (PB), and numerous Government departments, including MINDEF, Department of Land Transport, DST, Ministry of Development, JKR, Ministry of Energy, Ministry of Communications, Brunei Department of Marine, and Ministry of Health.
Although this safety performance comes during a month in which Megamas has also achieved “22 Years LTI Free”, the Megamas Managing Director, Hjh Khadijah Mohamed, has told the staff to be on alert at all times, “these statistics don’t necessarily tell you where the real dangers lurk, and just because you have a good safety record does not mean it is always a safe site. We must always strive for continuous improvement”.
