Megamas recently has been awarded the British Safety Council International Safety Award for 2010.

This is the 7th consecutive year from 2004 that Megamas has been honoured for its outstanding safety performance by a recognised international body.

During this period, 2004-2010, Megamas has also achieved “21 Years Loss Time Injury (LTI) Free” and “4 Years Total Recordable Case (TRC) Free ” safety performance, and also a outstanding record against safety audits, inspections, Contractor and Business Performance Reviews, conducted by Brunei Shell Petroleum (BSP) Company Sdn Bhd.

Again, last year, Megamas received an international prestigious award from OPITO in Abu Dhabi in front of 250 delegates worldwide for their overall contribution to the delivery of courses to offshore workers in a safe environment.

The Managing Director of Megamas , Hjh Khadijah Mohamed, reported that “we have tried to set an example in all aspects of our business, and give the Brunei Shell Joint Venture Companies  a training provider to be proud of, and help the country to achieve its aspirations”.

She added “it is one thing to tell yourself how good you are, but it is quite another, to be told how good you are by an international external accreditation organisation, like the British Safety Council”.

The General Manager, Mohd Roger Ainsworth, also added that ” we are very grateful to BSP Management, staff, and their contractors, including BLNG, BST, BSM, and the Government Departments who have helped and supported us in these times, MINDEF, Brunei Land Transport Department, Energy Department, Labour Department, Communication and Development Departments, Brunei Department of Marine, JKR, RBA, DST, and many others too numerous to mention”.
