Megamas celebrated yesterday the prestigious safety performance milestone of “24 Years Loss Time Injury (LTI) Free and “7 Years Total Recordable Cases (TRC) Free”; a safety performance record unequalled by any other training providers in S-E Asia.

This prestigious award highlights Megamas achievement and commitment to raising the standards of health and safety management in Brunei Darussalam and the Region.

Megamas Managing Director, Hjh Khadijah Mohamed commented that “the background to this success has to have been our goal, inspiration, persistence, and desire to always “do the right thing and provide quality courses”.

“HSE training is not simply just about passing on information, it means assisting people in their learning and understanding of the subject, why it is important, and how they can make a difference.”.

“I would like to congratulate everyone in Megamas for this outstanding achievement.”
She added, “it cannot be done without the support of all staff. Megamas is blessed with employees who have shown tremendous loyalty over the years, and these awards, are for them.

Megamas has an excellent record for Local Bruneian Development (LBD), employing 80% local Bruneian citizens, and over 40% have remained loyal to the company for over 15 years.

The contribution made by Megamas to the development of local Bruneian citizens was recognised by being awarded the “Most Admired Asean Enterprises” that have excelled in the category of employment at the 10th ASEAN Business Summit and Investment held at the ICC on the 10th August 2013.

In 2014, Megamas will focus on maintaining quality HSE courses to all our loyal customers, and provide expertise to clients with a diverse range of new courses, including IEMA Environmental and Logistics training.

According to Hjh Khadijah Mohamed, “Megamas will be able to provide unique services to any potential customer seeking a “one stop shop” solution to their HSE needs and requirements, especially with the introduction of the new Workplace Health and Safety Order (WHSO). With the introduction of new facilities in Kiulap, Megamas is providing HSE training and consultancy services to participants living in the Bandar area, e.g. BSM and others.”

In conclusion, Hjh Khadijah expressed Megamas gratitude to Brunei Shell Joint Venture Companies, the Brunei Government, Brunei Economic Development Board (BEDB), Ministry of Defence (MINDEF), Ministry of Communications, Ministry of Development, Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, TOTAL, Petroleum Brunei and all the BSP/BLNG/BSM contractors.
