Megamas Training Company Sdn Bhd, based in Mumong, Kuala Belait recently conducted the 31st NEBOSH International General Certificate course from 17th June – 01st July 2013.

Megamas Training Company Sdn Bhd was the first training provider in S-E Asia to deliver the NEBOSH International General Certificate course in November 2004.

This course, a globally recognised health and safety qualification, is intended for companies and individuals wishing to meet the international standards with regards to Health, Safety & Environment as it based on the International Labour Standards (ILO) codes of practice.

The elements covered a range of workplace hazards and methods of control, suitable for individuals who are interested to embark on a career in Health, Safety and Environment.

The course participants were from Brunei Shell Petroleum (BSP) Company Sdn Bhd, LFS Industrial, Fleet Rofhast Sdn Bhd and private candidates, including 3 local Bruneian Megamas staff, Shilla, Jacqueline and Morni, as part of their career development.

According to Megamas General Manager, Mohd Roger Ainsworth, “Megamas provides comprehensive free of charge training to all staff including Train the Trainer, OPITO Assessor Certificates course for all our instructors. The training improves not only the individual’s performance in their job, but also contributes to improve business performance and productivity. Safety and operational performance go hand in hand. You can’t have one with the other”.
