THE two-day Brunei AutoFest 2017 (BAF 2017), an interactive motor-vehicle themed car show, was launched yesterday at the Jerudong Park Open Court.

This will be one of many events falling under the Brunei December Festival organised by the Brunei Tourism Board. BAF 2017 will feature vendors showcasing their products and services.

Present as the guest of honour to launch the car show was Wardi bin Haji Mohammad Ali, Deputy Permanent Secretary (Tourism) at the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism (MPRT).

The event is co-organised by Pixel8MotorWerks and SPK Events, and is fully supported by the Government of Brunei Darussalam through the MPRT.

Activities during the BAF 2017 range from the car show of over 100 vehicles to lucky draw events on both days; with Kingston Beverage and Creamery’s Pepsi Bonanza Grand Draw happening today, with free flow of Pepsi during the grand draw for all event ticket purchasers.

There will also be a driving simulation gaming tournament on Playstation 4’s Gran Tourismo Sport to challenge the fastest virtual drivers with prizes to be won.

Other interactive experiences that visitors can expect are playing car/driving simulators; Pac Man and racing time attack games; meeting and listening to talks by Megamas Training Company on road safety awareness; and a talk by Malaysian actress and racing driver Faye Kusairi about her experiences from acting to racing. Malaysia’s MaxmanTV will also be present to cover the event and their stay in the Sultanate.

Visitors, families and friends will find food and beverage vendors participating such as Sococo, The Coffee Bean Brunei, Royal Brunei Catering, ChaTraMue, DKM Jeon Brothers Korean Food, Milo Bancuh and Kak Nong’s Kitchen.

Car-related retailers and detailing products and services will also be on display during the event, from the likes of Fireball Brunei, Izuoco Moto Services, TK Asco, Romet Plus Marketing, Zero Production and Xnox Headlight Customs.
