Megamas Training Company Sdn Bhd is now offering the NEBOSH International Technical Certificate in Oil & Gas after receiving the accreditation from the National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH UK). This is a new qualification in Brunei and is designed specifically for persons with safety responsibilities in the oil and gas industry. It is the latest addition to our portfolio of globally-recognised health, safety, environmental and risk management qualifications.

The qualification focuses on international standards and management systems, enabling students to effectively discharge workplace safety responsibilities both onshore and offshore. The Certificate also highlights the importance of process safety management in the oil and gas industry.

The course duration is five days plus one written exam taken on the morning of the sixth day. Course contents include; hazards and risk management techniques used in the oil and gas industries, safety cases and safety reports, process safety management, role and purpose of permit to work, key principles of safe shift handover, plant operations and maintenance, start up and shut down, failure modes, emergency response, marine transport and land transport.

In 2004 Megamas became the first training provider in SE Asia to deliver the hugely popular NEBOSH International General Certificate. This qualification has now become the first choice or anybody who wants an in-depth knowledge about workplace Health and Safety. It is hoped the Oil & Gas certificate will establish itself as the first choice for anyone working in the Oil, Gas and Petrochemical sector. The first inaugural course is scheduled for November 2012 and is now open for registration.
