Megamas Training Company Sdn Bhd recently announced that 3 of their local Bruneian staff, Mohd Arif Chia Abdullah, Mohammad Mu’iz Sham Khiruddin, and Zul Izzi Salim, have successfully met their planned targets in their training development programme.

Hj Naweh, Megamas Training Manager, was very pleased to congratulate the following staff for their proud achievements, namely, Mohd Arif Chia for being able to deliver OPITO Offshore Emergency Response Team Member, and Mohammad Mu’iz and Zul Izzi both for becoming qualified to deliver Fire Warden and Basic Fire Fighting without supervision.

According to Mohd Roger Ainsworth, Megamas General Manager, “We constantly try to offer our local staff opportunities for their career development and job satisfaction, and currently, we have a training matrix which caters for all our instructor staff to ensure their competency and career development. In February, Awg Behrom Shem Haji Mohd Apong will be sent to Brisbane in Australia to gain international accreditation in his selected area of specialised HSE training, and later in the year, two material handling local instructors will also go to Australia to obtain Cert 4 to further enhance their qualifications to an internationally-recognised standard.

As a result of such a policy over many years, Megamas has encountered strong staff loyalty, whereby over 40% of the staff have remained with the company for 10 years or much longer”.
