The transformation in the way businesses are run, the rapid changes in work organisations and impact in industrialisation will give rise to new risk areas but also provide opportunities to improve work safety.

Many governments and Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) related associations are embarking on programmes and/or safety campaigns to motivate both employers and workers to change in work attitude and to drive home the message that improvement in work safety not only prevents accidents and saves lives but will also create profits for the companies.

As the world’s economy is facing a downturn, many organizations have taken the step to reduce safety and health as a cost cutting measure. This measure not only has turned the workplace into an accident prone area but it has as well collapsed businesses.

With this in our mind, Megamas had attended The 2nd Borneo Conference and Exhibition on Occupational Safety and Health (BOSH) held in Kuching, Sarawak with the aim to provide a platform to discuss issues and challenges about Occupational Safety and Health (OSH).

The BOSH 2011 conference is also an ideal convergence point for OSH professionals in the region as well as other counterparts to share and update their OSH knowledge and skills to meet the dynamic changes in the working environment and move towards a common aspiration which is to achieve a safer and healthier workplace for all.
