MEGAMAS Training Company Sdn Bhd, based in Mumong, Kuala Belait, recently conducted the 54th NEBOSH International General Certificate course.

The course covers topics such as health and safety, identification and control of workplace hazards and the practical application of risk management knowledge. The NEBOSH International General Certificate syllabus takes a risk management approach based on best practice and international standards, such as the International Labour Organisation (ILO) Codes of Practice.

Megamas Training Company Sdn Bhd was the first training provider in Southeast Asia to deliver the NEBOSH International General Certificate course in November 2004. The participants were from Brunei Shell Petroleum Co Sdn Bhd, Brunei LNG Co Sdn Bhd, Seri Ghanimi Contractor Sdn Bhd, Zalin Wood Art & Furniture, Megamas Sdn Bhd as well as other individuals.

According to Megamas General Manager, Mohd Roger Ainsworth, “Whether health and safety is your main responsibility or just a part of what you do, there are many benefits to complete the NEBOSH International General Certificate. This vital knowledge will help you to achieve bench mark safety and health performance at work, and to discover skills and techniques that are useful and practical, not just theoretical.”
