THE 70th National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health International General Certificate (NEBOSH IGC) course is being conducted by Megamas Training Company Sdn Bhd, based in Jalan Mumong, Kuala Balai, Kuala Belait.

Megamas Training Company Sdn Bhd, was the first training provider in South East Asia to conduct the NEBOSH IGC in November 2004.

The course is a globally recognised health and safety qualification programme that is intended for companies or individuals who wish to acquire an international standard with regards to health, safety and environment in their workplace.

The 10-day course, which began on February 6, focuses on the International Labour Standard’s (IL0) codes of practice.

According to Megamas, the course is suitable for individuals who aspire to gain health and safety knowledge regarding managing risks and hazards is any area of business.

The course covers 16 elements comprising a range of workplace hazards and methods of control such as organising for health and safety, occupational incident and accident investigation, recording and reporting, working equipment hazards and control, electric hazards and control, and construction activities.
