The CIEH Level 1 Award in Food Safety is aimed at those new to the workplace who require a simple overview of a subject, before starting work or as part of an induction programme. CIEH Level 1 has been developed to raise awareness of key food safety issues and to provide employees with an induction to food hygiene, prior to undertaking the Level 2 Award in Food Safety.

The CIEH Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering is aimed at those in the workplace who participate in activities related to the subject area. CIEH Level 2 has been developed to address the growing need to make learning more relevant to specific business environments and meet the National Occupational Standards. It provides a flexible syllabus which enables training to be tailored to meet specific needs.

The course is ideal for anyone working in a catering, manufacturing or retail setting where food is prepared, cooked and handled.
