SKILLS gained from training were put to good use by trainees under the Energy Industry Competency Framework (EICF) programme recently.

A total of 49 trainees comprising scaffolders and riggers – under the programme organised by the Mumong-based Megamas Training Company Sdn Bhd – volunteered to use their skills to carry out repair works at a mosque under a charity programme, a press release stated.

The charity work was aimed at reaching out to the community as well as applying the skills learned to gain valuable practical work experience as well as to develop the trainees’ spiritual and moral values as caring and skilled citizens of the Sultanate.

This is the third community work undertaken by trainees from the EICF training programme.

The Megamas team hopes that by providing EICF trainees with charitable projects that have both high practical and moral values, it will help develop the competency of individual trainees and collaboration and unity in the workplace prior to them being sent on work attachments at local companies.
