LOCAL Mohammad Roshawadin bin Kamaluddin was recently promoted to the position of operations manager by the Directors of Megamas Training Company Sdn Bhd.

According to Hajah Khadijah binti Mohamed, Megamas Managing Director, “This promotion is in line with the company policy to develop local Bruneians, and to support the aspirations of the Nation. In addition, wherever possible, Megamas commitment has also been to promote the staff to senior positions within the company.”

Hajah Khadijah added that Mohammad Roshawadin, also known as Tom, “has been an outstanding performer over many years and truly deserves this recognition”.

Tom joined Megamas as an Assistant Instructor in July 1994, and over the last 22 years has worked himself through the various stages of the organisational structure, and most recently, was the Transportation Training Manager, according to a press release.

In this position, Hajah Khadijah explained that “Tom has excelled in every aspect of his work”, and has been “inspirational in not only developing his local staff to the highest competency levels of defensive driving training, but ensured that the training was delivered to international standards.”

Mohd Roger Ainsworth, Megamas Executive Advisor, said the company has been conducting defensive driving courses for Brunei Shell Petroleum (BSP) Co Sdn Bhd and their contractors for about 15 years since 2001. Now, it also provides training for other BSJV companies, Shell Deepwater, PetroleumBRUNEI, TOTAL, and government departments.

Megamas has also conducted heavy vehicles training for Youth Development Centre (PPB), Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, and also for Industry Competency Framework (ICF) Programmes.
