MEGAMAS Training Company Sdn Bhd was recently honoured by being presented with an International Safety Award by the British Safety Council, at the Grosvenor Hotel, Park Lane, London.

The award was presented by the President of the British Safety Council to Megamas General Manager Mohd Roger Ainsworth.

This is the 11th time in 12 years since 2004 Megamas was internationally recognised for its contribution to health and safety at the workplace.

The International Safety Awards scheme is open to organisations of all sizes across all industries and seeks to promote high standards of health and safety management practice in order to prevent workplace injury and ill health.

According to a press release, the award winners have demonstrated to the judges their commitment and determination to prevent workplace injuries and work-related ill health.

The winning organisations span all sectors from the United Kingdom, Europe, Central Asia, Far East, Middle East and India.

Ainsworth said, “This is another significant milestone for Megamas Training Company. It comes as a result of commitment, dedication and hard work by all, and the unwavering belief that everyone has the fundamental right to go to work and return home safely.

“Megamas has worked hard to achieve “Goal Zero”, namely, pursue no harm to people and protect the environment. To achieve this, he added “we have focused on our three core HSE principles of compliance to safety procedures, carrying out proactive interventions when we see an unsafe act, and cultivation of a safety-first attitude in all activities we carry out”.
