Megamas Training Company Sdn Bhd Megamas Executive Advisor Mohd Roger Ainsworth yesterday commended the staff for their committment.

He made these comments at the 30^th anniversary celebration of Megamas at the 11° Sports Cafe located at V-Plaza Hotel, Kuala Belait yesterday.

Ainsworth said Megamas had only 27 staff in 1999. He said the company has 93 staff members to date which included 85 local, achieving a 91 per cent of local workforce.

He highlighted that nearly a quarter of these staff members had been with the company for over a decade, and as such, the 30^th anniversary celebration aimed to mark the company’s long history; and acknowledge the long service and commitment of the staff.

“Today, Megamas Training Company has arguably one of the finest facilities and capabilities of any training provider in Southeast Asia, which is boasted by the Offshore Petroleum Industry Training Organisation (OPITO) as we were voted as the number one Training Provider in the world in November 2015 in Abu Dhabi,” he said.

“World class achievement stems from having developed a strong positive safety culture as well as having well-led teams with clear responsibilities and goals; all of which serves to achieve good results,” he said.

Ainsworth also highlighted the relentless drive Managing Director of Megamas Training Company Sdn Bhd Khadijah binti Haji CA Mohamed had invested in the company, which has enabled them to further develop the local workforce throughout the last 30 years.

The event continued with the cake-cutting ceremony, followed by the unveiling and launching of the special 30^th anniversary book, comprising the history of the company through various photos taken over the years.

The event also saw the presentation of long service award to Megamas staff. Tokens of appreciation were also presented to its former employees by Megamas General Manager Michael Stringer. The event concluded with a hi-tea session.

Megamas Deputy General Manager Haji Mahmud bin Haji Idris staff, former staff, instructors and trainers were also present.

Megamas Training Company, established on December 14, 1989, continues to look forward to the future in maintaining their standards to provide training services for clients.
