MEGAMAS Training Company Sdn Bhd recently conducted a road safety awareness programme at Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah (YSHHB) Primary School.

In her speech, YSHHB Primary School Headmistress Hajah Mariam binti Haji Ladi welcomed YSHHB School CEO Noorhaizamddin bin Haji Mosbi, Megamas Training Company Sdn Bhd Deputy General Manager Haji Mahmud bin Haji Idris and his team, as well as officials from the Defensive Driving Department and Business Development Department, as well as Brunei National Road Safety Council officers.

Megamas Defensive Driving Instructor Ranold Ramli explained to the students the importance of fastening their seatbelts and abiding by the speed limit. They were also informed that the speed limit in a school area is 25km/h.

The students also participated in a Road Safety Awareness Quiz, with Year 5 Saturn emerging as the winning team.

The programme was an eye opener for students, teachers and parents on road safety in view of the increase in road accidents over the years.
